‘Boruto: Naruto The Movie’ Anime Trailer Arrives

Boruto Movie HeaderSet for release in Japan on August 7th, 2015, the latest TV spot and full length teaser trailer for Boruto: Naruto the Movie has arrived from TOHO. Based on the original work by Masashi Kishimoto, the film is directed by Hiroyuki Yamashita while Ukyo Kodachi is working with Kishimoto on the script. Kishimoto is heavily involved in the film as he’s credited with the character designs as well as serving as the chief production supervisor for the film alongside with the original story and script work.

The feature takes place after The Last – Naruto the Movie – and deals with the next generation of shinobi.

Plot concept: Boruto is the son of the seventh Hokage Naruto who completely rejects his father. Behind this, he has feelings of wanting to surpass Naruto, who is respected as a hero. He ends up meeting his father’s friend Sasuke, and requests to become… his apprentice!? The curtain rises on the story of the new generation written by Masashi Kishimoto!
