While English language fans are enjoying the streaming of the series and the Broadcast Dub being produced for it, Media Factory is focusing on the upcoming Japanese home video release for Seiken Tsukai no World Break, which is being localized as World Break: Aria of Curse for a Holy Swordsman! for the simulcasts. The series is getting a fairly standard six volume release that began on March 25th, 2015 with the Blu-ray releases priced at 7,000 yen each and the DVDs at 6,000 yen each. The second volume artwork and packaging designs have now been revealed, which you can see below.
The first volume includes a new short story written by the original creator, a booklet, a CD with the radio program and a soundtrack CD as well. On disc extras for this release include the event footage from the January 11th premiere, which will be spread across multiple volumes it looks like. The second volume includes another new short story, a new booklet and a radio program talk event on a CD. On disc extras include a promotional video. The third volume has another new short story, booklet and radio program talk event on a CD. On disc extras include the clean opening sequence.
The series is directed by Takayuki Inagaki with scripts by Hiroshi Yamaguchi and character designs adapted by Masakazu Ishikawa. The series will be animated at Diomedea.
The main cast includes Kaito Ishikawa as Moroha Haimura, Ayana Taketatsu as Satsuki Ranjō and Aoi Yūki as Shizuno Urushibara. Additional casting for the series includes Reina Ueda as Elena Arshavina, Machico as Sophia Mertesacker, Chiaki Omigawa as Angela Johnson, Nichika Omori as Yuri Oregvich Zhirkov, Ayane Sakura as Katia Eskevna Honda, Yuko Minaguchi as Mari Shimon, Wataru Hatano as Sir Edward Runbird, Yūichi Nakamura as Jin Isurugi, Yu Kobayashi as Tokiko Kanzaki, Toru Ohkawa as Tarō Tanaka, Ryou Sugizaki as Gen Isurugi, Akira Ishida as Andō Suruga, Takehito Koyasu as Charles Saint-Germain, Rie Kugimiya as Arlene Highbury, Hikaru Midorikawa as Lū Jishin, Fumi Morisawa as Vasilisa Yuryevna Mostovaya, Yui Ogura as Maya Shimon and Maaya Uchida as Haruka Momochi.
Plot concept: Akane Academy is just like any other school…except the students just happen to be reincarnated legendary heroes from a distant past who battled for the fate of the world. Now, evil monsters are threatening to wreak havoc, and it’s up to the students of Akane Academy to stop them! Follow Moroha, Shizuno, and Satsuki as they navigate love, past lives, and kicking butt in this action fantasy with a dash of fanservice.
