‘The Rolling Girls’ Anime Begins A Ramen Battle With Latest Dub Clip

2 min read

The Rolling Girls HeaderFUNimation kicked off their Broadcast Dub version of The Rolling Girls back towards the end of February and they’re making sure English language fans know about it so they can see it on their site. While we have a ways to go before any home video release, the dubbed version of the show is a lot of fun and available to members who have an All-AccessPass on the site. The clip clocks in at just under three minutes in length with a good mix of characters and action with it. The winter 2015 anime series set Colleen Clinkenbeard as the ADR director and Clifford Chapin as the assistant ADR director working off the dub script by Bonny Clinkenbeard, who is working off of the Japanese translation by Nita Lieu. The cast includes:

  • Felicia Angelle- Nozomi
  • Monica Rial- Yukina
  • Jad Saxton- Ai
  • Leah Clark- Chiaya
  • Colleen Clinkenbeard- Masami
  • Jamie Marchi- Shigyo
  • Rachel Robinson- Haruka
  • Tyson Rinehart- Momiyama

The show comes from Wit Studio and it has some really appealing designs to it. The series is going to star Ari Ozawa as Nozomi Moritomo, Rina Hidaka as Yukina Kosaka, Risa Taneda as Ai Hibiki and Yumiri Hanamori as Aya Misonochi. The series is set to premiere in Japan on January 10th, 2015 on MBS with a roll out to other networks on January 11th and January 12th.

Plot concept: Gun your engines and get ready for the full-throttle adventure of The Rolling Girls, the first original anime from the studio that brought you Attack on Titan! In the wake of the Great Tokyo War, Japan – as the world once knew it – no longer exists. What remains is a fragmented network of independent nations, each ruled by a prophet known as a Mosa. Every Mosa commands an army, or Mob, as they seek to conquer anyone in their path. Enter Nozomi, Yukina, Ai, and Chiaya. Together, these intrepid and adorable girls travel across battle-ravaged Japan, seeking to transform themselves – and their world!
