While the first trailer for Fantastic Four earlier this year focused on the intrigue, the science and the mystery of the property that’s attempting to relaunch the franchise, this one expands on it but also goes more into the realm of the fantastic. With a bit of humor as well. Brigning the uniforms out a bit and highlighting their abilities puts this more firmly into the superhero side, something that the first trailer didn’t do all that much as it looked more like a science fiction real world thriller.
Directed by Josh Trank, the film stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell along with Toby Kebbell. It’s set for release on August 7th, 2015.
Plot concept: The Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
