Crunchyroll Adds ‘Punch Line’ For Spring 2015 Anime Lineup

Punch-LineCrunchyroll is beefing up its spring 2015 anime slate a bit more today with the acquisition of Punch Line. The series is set to debut on April 9th at 2:30pm ET for premium members and a week later for free members. Availability for the series is pretty good with it open to users in the United States (and its territories), Canada, Central and South America (including the Caribbean), United Kingdom and Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, and their territories, Netherlands, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, Russia and MENA.

The show is being directed by Yutaka Uemura based on scripts by Kotaro Uchikoshi with animation at Mappa. Character designs are being handled by Shota Iwasaki

Marina Inoue as Yūta Iritatsu, the protagonist whose spirit has been separated from his body.
Sora Amamiya as Mikatan Narukino, a bright and spacey idol.
Haruka Tomatsu as Rabura Chichibu, a gal-style fishy spiritual medium.
Minako KotobukiIto Hikiotani, a NEET who plays online games.
Rie Kugiyama Meika Taihatsu, a genius inventor who loves her grandfather.

The series works with the tagline of “Once he sees underwear, humanity is destroyed!?”, which pretty much says all that a lot of people will need to determine their interest.

Plot concept:If he sees underwear, humanity will be destroyed!? An original anime series from the noitaminA block, PUNCH LINE centers on Yuta Iridatsu, a high school student, with a peculiar habit. When he sees a girl’s panties, he gets so excited he faints! After a certain incident with a ghost cat, his soul gets separated from his body. Using his special powers, Yuta watches the daily lives of the inhabitants of an apartment and sometimes plays tricks on them. Eventually, Yuta decides to unlock the secrets to why Earth will be destroyed and tries to save it!
