2 min read

Tekkaman BladeAfter premiering in the summer of 1975, this year marks the 40th anniversary of Space Knight Tekkaman and King Records is looking to celebrate with fans from back then which now likely have a little more disposable income. The company has put together the new release from the 16mm negatives and is bringing out the full twenty-six episode run in one box set on May 27th, 2015. It’ll be priced at 35,000 yen.

The set will spread the show across four Blu-ray discs and it’ll come with a CD as well. No details on the extras, if any for the set will be included, but it’s noted that the Cd is the background music collection that’s sourced direction from the original tape master.

Plot concept: Tekkaman is just an average bright boy in his everyday life. However, modern science can turn him into a mighty space warrior. This becomes a reality when aggressive aliens come from space to invade our planet. Armed with a space lance, Tekkaman gallantly goes into action against the grotesque space creatures. During his battles he encounters a mysterious young man from another planet who helps him out whenever he is in danger.
