‘Doamaiger D’ Anime Gets Japanese Release Date

1 min read

Doamaiger D HeaderAs is the case with a lot of short form series, they tend to not make their way over for simulcast and they tend to fly under the radar. How else can you explain Doamaiger D not being a thing? The series began in January 2015 as produced by ILCA with two minute episodes of mecha comedy and action, which you can see in the promo below. With it being under the radar, it’s now gotten a home video release date with it set for May 27th, 2015 priced at 6,264 yen for the 33 minute release that contains the entire series. There’ll be about 50 minutes worth of extras here according to the listing with a cast video, commentary and the opening and closing sequences as well as a promo spot collection.

Plot concept: Kyougoku Daijirou is the 15th generation owner of the Kyoto sweets shop Amashoudou. One day, Daijirou discovers a giant robot named Doamaiger D in his store’s basement. At the same time, enemies called “Mekaijuu” appear in Kyoto and begin wreaking havoc.
