The Battleworld imprint for the upcoming Secret Wars event from Marvel Comics has added a new series to its list with the fan favorite title Runaways getting a new lease on life. This new series is coming from Noelle Stevenson, who is getting around in a number of books recently in addition to her own Lumberjanes, along with artist Sanford Greene to provide a new twist on the property.
“Noelle and Sanford have come up with a fun cast of alternate reality versions of some fan-favorite characters (including original Runaway Molly Hayes!), plus a few new characters who we’re really excited about,” said editor Wil Moss. “It’s a different take on RUNAWAYS, for sure, but that same fresh, adventurous, character-driven spirit of the original series remains the same!”
