Wake Up, Girl ZOO! | Episode 6
EmperorBrandon: Helicopter ignoring girls in need of help yet again… (I know, very different situation, but for some reason it came to mind ) Miyu is apparently an eagle that can’t even fly, but whatever, they can grow gigantic. Obviously they get the media attention from that, but not the kind they’re looking for. More Minami eating jokes again, first paper and then a helicopter. Yeah, Nanami’s right about the stomachache coming.
bctaris: Liked that Nanami triggered her transformation Eren Jaeger style.
EmperorBrandon: That seemed awfully familiar, but for whatever reason it wasn’t coming to mind when I was watching. But that’s got to be it. Hah…
bctaris: The news report at the end was rich, too, expressing the city’s bewilderment more than their horror.
Miyu not being able to fly–like Airi, a shark, being unable to breath under water–is such bizarre fun. People see them as animals, they attack and eat people like animals…but they’re not really animals when it counts. Love it.
Sensuifu: Definitely quirky fun Like SeHa Girls, the random, oddball humor makes it all that more charming.
EmperorBrandon: But I continue to love how the ending keeps gets changed up from the episode’s happenings. Minami takes Airi’s place falling on the other girls this time, with surprisingly non-fatal results for the girls she’s falling on (are they able to die in the middle of the ED?)
bctaris: Wow, late entry, but no doubt now: this is absolutely my favorite ED of the year. God, that was brilliant. (And a fun song to boot.)
Sensuifu: Ditto. I thought for a moment that they’d transform back to their usual size, but nope. They stay and perform while the rest go to the top. Pure gold.
