New Anime DVD/BD Releases For October 7th, 2014

As we get further into October with the anime DVD and Blu-ray releases, the more fun we’re going to have as we get companies seeding releases for the holiday season. This week has some anticipated things to be sure, with FUNimation making their week all about Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. That movie is some fresh new material from the franchise that has been truly evergreen for them for twenty years, so there’s no surprise there. Sentai Filmworks goes back to the well a bit for a Bodacious Space Pirates complete collection as well as the new Rozen Maiden series coming out for the first time. Viz Media continues to show that they’ve got a strong handle on the modern market with how they’re releasing Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet and Nozomi Entertainment brings out the next part of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn on DVD alongside a new priced down version of Junjo Romantic. And what’s life without a little hentai? Critical Mass Video slides in a pair of re-releases this week with Blood Royale and Xtra Credit.
