Strange Plus Season 2 Episode 11
Beware when friends write novels.

What They Say:
Kou comes to a certain city, in search of his older brother Takumi, who ran away from home and disappeared. Thinking it’d be rather difficult to find his older brother, Kou decides not to go back until he finds him… but he ends up finding him immediately. However, when Kou is reunited with Takumi, he had become the head of the Mikuni Detective Agency. Takumi appears to have no intentions to go back home. Kou then decides that if his older brother isn’t going to come home, he’s going to stay at the Mikuni Detective Agency.

The Review:
Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
When the gang learns that Hanei is writing the novel, even just on the side as a hobby, that gets everyone else wanting to be involved in it, including Takumi of course who makes it an even bigger mess of course. With everyone sucking up to Hanei and Kanno at this point, it gets silly quickly, especially with the women and how they show off their skills in various ways. Not that the guys are left out from this as they all put up their appearances, and we get a few guest appearances as well since everyone has their preferred role, stereotype and more when you get down to it. The thing builds up with so much of the cast that it really feels like it’s a last episode here by trying to cram in as many as possible.

In Summary:
Strange+ has a lot of fun moments here as it runs through all the tropes of character types out there as we get the gang – and many others – chiming in on what kind of character they want to model in Hanei’s novel. It’s a quick moving piece with a lot of fun that doesn’t really focus on any one character but surprisingly manages to hit up a lot of characters quickly in a very fun and good way. It’s cute and definitely enjoyable, though you don’t have to really know anyone or anything to enjoy it either.
