Viz Media certainly made a wise choice in picking up the World Trigger manga from Daisuke Ashihara for release as the series anime adaptation is set to debut in Japan next month. It’s also smart marketing that they’re beginning to release the manga on October 7th, right around the same time. Even smarter? Doubling up on the content for the fans by releasing the second volume on the same day as well. The series is also up to date and current through their simultaneous chapter by chapter release in Weekly Shonen Jump.

Print versions of the series will be priced at $9.99 with new volumes are scheduled to be released bi-monthly. Plot concept: Destroy thy Neighbor! Earth is under constant threat from Neighbors, invincible monsters from another dimension that destroy humanity’s way of life. At least there are the elite agents of Border, warriors who co-opt alien technology to fight back. Our hero Osamu Mikumo may not be the best agent, but along with his Neighbor friend Yuma, he’ll do whatever it takes to defend life on Earth as we know it.
