James McAvoy Expects To Be Bald For ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’

2 min read

James McAvoyWith James McAvoy having originally signed on for three films when he did X-Men: First Class, you know he had to be waiting in each film to find out when he’d actually end up looking like the character proper from the comics and as played in elder statesman form by Patrick Stewart. The first film gave us a young, clean cut looking Xavier while the second one set in the 70’s had him looking more like Lieutenant Dan from Forrest Gump in a lot of ways. Now that things are prepping for the May 27th, 2016 film X-Men: Apocalypse, it looks like the 1980’s is where things go south for his hair.

“I’ll be older in this one,” James McAvoy said of X-Men: Apocalypse, in which he will return as Charles Xavier. “[And] I think I’m losing my hair finally. And, yeah, that’s kind of all I know.” He continued, “I got an email from the [producer/writer Simon Kinberg] who informed me he was getting dead excited about stuff, but he didn’t want to divulge anything for a couple of weeks, so I really don’t know. It does seem fairly global, if we’re talking apocalypse. Maybe it’s just the character’s name, but I think the nature of the film is going to be fairly apocalyptic.”
