Viz Media has updated on their latest round of digital manga rankings with what’s selling across their various platforms and it again continues to be interesting in some of the disconnect in what you hear people talking about. Naturally, what people actually buy and read compared to what those will talk publicly about is almost always different, but there’s usually some crossover.
For the week of August 19th, the big moved is Food Wars! with its third volume, which is great to see because it’s a title that’s gaining popularity that you might not think would generate much interest. We also get to see that One-Punch Man is racking up more digital sales and growing nicely there. Also welcome to see is that Lucky Star hit the #3 spot in its debut, though we’re sure it’ll hang around for a few weeks at least as more people realize that the book has been rescued.
Viz Media releases their books through their VizManga.com site as well as book stores on for Kindle, Nook, iBookstore and Google Play. They’ve also been ramping up their content on ComixOlogy as well.
