Buddy ComplexWhile fans had hoped that Buddy Complex was going to get a second season based on some of the rumblings out of the production, we learned awhile ago that we were getting a two part special to close things out for the franchise. That’s now been set for a November 21st, 2014 release that will be priced at 7,000 yen for the Blu-ray and 6,000 yen for the DVD, both of which will have English subtitles like the TV series did. The release, clocking in at 137 minutes, has a good run of extras to it. The final DRama CD will be included as well as an archives booklet. On disc extras include the promo and TV commercial collections, the end card collections and more.

Bandai Visual has put out a 15 second spot for the release as well as 90 second spot that shows off more of it.

The series was simulcast by FUNimation and Bandai Visual is bringing out the releases in Japan with English subtitles in order to appeal to the import market that they know exists.

Plot concept: Revolving around the friendship and coming-of-age of two boys. It begins with Aoba Watase, a boy who goes to high school in Tokyo and lives a carefree daily life. On the morning of his school’s opening ceremony after summer vacation, he goes to campus as usual, but he has a chance encounter with another boy. The other boy’s name is Jyunyou Dio Weinberg. Their encounter will soon alter the fate of the world.
