Sometimes you have to be creative in order to get people to watch shows that they should be watching that they might skip otherwise. With the spring 2014 series Ping Pong: The Animation, the noitaminA block series certainly had its fans but it was a hard sell because it was about well, ping pong. And it wasn’t about cute girls playing ping pong. And it didn’t go for beautiful animation in the traditional sense.

Plot concept: Despite having drastically different personalities, high school boys Peco and Smile have been friends since childhood. Now, they’re both talented members of a table tennis club—but what happens when these sports lovers have to go up against each other in tournaments? Prepare for truly epic matches!
Cannot wait to see this. The sport needs an image change fast but as soon as the perception changes, it will become the coolest sport in the world.
