One of the fun things that does happen in both comics and manga is that you see creators doing up sketches and works on other properties that aren’t their own, which can provide a fun little twist on things. One of those hit this week as MatsuRyu, the character designer behind the Alleyne character in the Queen’s Blade franchise, has done up a look at the lead character in Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun for fans to enjoy as it plays with the design just right and goes for the fanservice as well.
Plot concept: Chiyo Sakura, a high school girl who fell in love with the unrefined boy schoolmate Umetaro Nozaki, decides to be courageous one day and asks him out. Her feelings weren’t conveyed properly, and before she knew it she ends up helping a particular job of his as an assistant… The series is a shojo manga boy comedy which centers around Nozaki, a high school boy that is a popular shojo manga artist, and has a story woven by very individualistic characters.
