Marvel Studios Adds Third 2018 Untitled Film

2 min read

Marvel StudiosJust when you thought you had it figured out where Marvel wants to do two films a year, one existing franchise one and one new character one. Heck, that’s even what Kevin Feige was saying they want to do. And they go and announce five upcoming untitled films through 2019 that basically proves that route is what they’re doing since it’s two films a year. So while you start figuring out what they’re doing, they then throw you for a curve ball with a third film, untitled, announced for May 4th, 2018. That breaks things down like this now:

  1. Guardians Of The Galaxy on 8/1/14
  2. Avengers: Age Of Ultron on 5/1/15
  3. Ant-Man on 7/17/2015
  4. Captain America 3 on 5/6/2016
  5. Marvel Untitled on 7/8/16
  6. Marvel Untitled on 5/5/17
  7. Marvel Untitled on 7/28/17
  8. Marvel Untitled on 11/3/17
  9. Marvel Untitled on 5/4/18
  10. Marvel Untitled on 7/6/18
  11. Marvel Untitled on 11/2/18
  12. Marvel Untitled on 5/3/19

The safest bet is that this date will be for Avengers 3 since it fits the timeline of the first two films and serves as the closing point for Phase 3. Which would put the July 2018 film as the start of Phase Four.

Let’s hope that at least the 2016 and 2017 films get titles/characters at SDCC this week.
