As seems to happen to a lot of manga series, get an anime adaptation and then figure out your end game. One Week Friends from Matcha Hazuki had a spring 2014 anime series which has been licensed by Sentai Filmworks and now the release of the sixth volume of the manga in Japan is providing a final date for the series. While the regular installments will continue for awhile yet, the seventh volume of the series will be the last and it’s slated for an April 22nd, 2015 release date. Hazuki kicked off the manga back in 2012 in Gangan Joker and the anime adaptation was produced by Brain’s Base with generally very positive reviews of it.

Plot concept: Kaori Fujimiya is always alone because all of her happy memories, including time spent with her friends, disappear every Monday. Deciding that he wants to be friends with her anyway, Yuuki Hase tries to get close to Kaori each week, wishing that she would one day call him “a friend”.
