Encouragement of Climb Second Season | Episode 1 | TFP Review

Encouragement of Climb Season 2 Episode 1

EmperorBrandon: This still feels rather relaxingly paced. Even though it’s about three and a half times longer now, it seemed to go by rather quick and pleasantly.

Hah, at Aoi’s crazy dreams… If climbing a mountain makes you so popular, I wonder if that should be Mokocchi’s next scheme.

Momoka Kibi: The second season is off to a very encouraging start. Also speed run fanservice bath scene. The snow dreams of Aoi make me wonder if dreaming about Hinata is really good for her.

Opening song shows definite confidence & has hand holding so you know its the real deal. Ending Song seems to have fading credits this time, yay. That makes things easier.

Glad this show is transitioning to the new format well. Also, with the group already formed because of season 1, we can ski some introductory stuff or we can have quick recaps, whatever works.

bctaris: I’m pleased the pacing is still the same, easy going and yet to the point. The first season would merely have made three episodes of this, and nothing else would have been changed.

And of course, it remains a hiking/mountaineering/camping primer, kind of like your basic sports anime. Or a commercial.

(Also, Hinata’s house…is pretty nice.)

Sensuifu: I’m glad it’s longer since the first season’s eps weren’t long enough. but yeah, the pacing is pretty much the same.

Funny you mention commercial… had a similar thought seeing all the brands listed in the credits.

Camping out in the backyard…d’awww…nostalgia. Definitely found the bath scene funny…for the fact that it reminded me of taking advantage of the ‘luxuries’ that otherwise wouldn’t be there in real, outdoor camping. Sure natural hotsprings and other amenities might be available irl, but the contradiction between the two settings, especially with the campground right next to the house, is amusing in an innocent way.

Will be interesting to see how Aoi’s mom will change her mind about the girls camping out in the mountains…unless of course there’s an adult with them, which will probably end up happening.

stardf29: While I’m looking forward to some actual mountaineering later in this season, for now the girls just enjoying time with each other is nice, too.

The show is settling into its longer format nicely, still remaining the nice, cute, and relaxing (and educational) show it is. Definitely looking forward to more.

Sensuifu: yeah, the educational bits are always fun. Now I know what to add to my curry

Jimmie M: And I got to learn how to cook rice in the out-of-doors as well. A nice start in the new, longer format.
