While there’s always a bit of eye-rolling going on when some properties are used over and over, things like this tend to be a bit on the outside since there are so many interpretations and it can be used in some interesting ways. And because so many fans of the concept have their own favorites that doesn’t diminish the others. The latest entry in the Dracula universe comes with Dracula Untold, which is coming from Universal Pictures On October 17th, 2014. Budgeted at $100 million, the feature was filmed in North Ireland in 2013. Originally set to be directed by Alex Proyas as Dracula Year Zero, it ended up being dropped and then Universal moved on this concept for it. It’s certainly an interesting project in general, but more so when you see that it’s being directed by Gary Shore as his first feature film. Shore has done a lot of commercial work over the years but this marks his first big project.
Directed by Gary Shore, the film stars Luke Evans, Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper, Charles Dance and Charlie Cox.
