Set to debut on July 8th, 2014, the third promotional video for Momo Kyun Sword has landed and it has a stronger look at the villains of the series. The adaptation of the light novel is one that has an interesting history in and of itself as the Kibidango Project kicked off in 2014 with it where they bring in different illustrators for it to give it a different feeling each month and a variety of web show readings of the source material has been done by a wide range of voice actors as well. With a summer 2014 premiere planned, the new details include the main cast for the series as well as the production team itself which looks pretty interesting and not the normal group you see in a lot of shows.

Directed by Shinsuke Yanagi at Tri-Slash and Project No.9., the series has Tsuyoshi Tamai working on the scripts while character designs are being done by Hiroshi Tomioka, who is also serving as the chief animation director.

The series stars Ayana Taketatsu as Momoko, Minami Tsuda as Onihime, Wataru Hatano as Inugami, Showtaro Morikubo as Sarugami, Asami Imai as Kijigami, Shiori Mikami as Ringo, Suzuko Mimori as Suika, Rumi Ookubo as Maron, Yuka Ōtsubo as Karin, Mikako Komatsu as Kaguya, Asami Shimoda as Kushinada and Masumi Asano as Celestial Maiden Sumeragi.

Plot concept: The story begins with a female re-imagining of Momotarō, a famous character in Japanese folklore. Momoko is a beautiful young sword fighter who was born inside a peach (momo in Japanese). She lives with her constant companions — the dog god Inugami, the monkey god Sarugami, and the pheasant god Kijigami — in a peaceful paradise. However, a demon army led by devil king invades the paradise and steals the precious treasure that protects Momoko’s land. To retrieve the treasure and save the people, Momoko embarks on a great adventure with her three companions.
