Opening Day is upon us. The crowds are beginning to sing…

Is the Great American Pastime spreading? Has it made it all the way to a galaxy far, far away? The love of Star Wars and baseball has certainly made its way to Japan. Lord Vader himself took to the field last year with some unintended consequences. Oops!
America’s teams also rise to the occasion. Not only do we head out to the ballgame, but the Durham Bulls will dedicate a special jersey to the loveable Artoo this May the fourth. Unfortunately, R2-D2 is unlikely to win his current round against Obi-wan in the This is Madness tournament to be able to celebrate his own victory.

I’m sure you can’t make it to Japan to see Darth bat, and I doubt any of the Bulls will be giving up their jerseys to lucky fans. Still, what would a Star Wars Thursday be without a few things YOU can have to declare your fandom?
