What They Say:
“Women of a Certain Age”

While keeping the streets of London safe, Angel and Faith struggle with their sin-filled pasts. For now, Faith finds some peace in guiding a group of Slayers—one of whom has a lethal grudge against Angel. With reluctant assistance from Faith, Angel seeks to undo his greatest sin and resurrect Giles from a natural death…somehow…in a world without magic.

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
Angel’s still on his path to resurrect Giles; it’s what’s driving this entire storyline, plot-wise. He gets dropped in by a few of Giles’ aunts—well, great aunts, technically. They’ve made themselves look young through magic, but we all know what happened to magic.

It seems they made a lot of promises with demons to do things or give souls if they ever got a gray hair and now that magic’s gone, they can’t keep their hair magically colored. The demons come to have their debts paid, but Angel and Faith are there to kill them. After all, what kind of good people would they be if they let two vain old ladies be killed by their own vanity.

Plus, they want to help resurrect Giles.

In Summary:
This issue was largely interim, with the reintroduction of Willow into the Angel storyline. But I’m sure it’ll play into much more important things with Lavinia and Sophronia. The big takeaway here for me is that I’m looking forward to what these girls with (formerly) powerful magic will bring to the dynamic that Angel and Faith so amazingly play.
