Hulu’s been a bit quiet the last couple of weeks for new additions, but one from the rarely heard from Aesir Holdings has landed on the service with the Parasite Dolls feature. The work is based in the world of Bubblegum Crisis as it was originally released as three OVAs but also put into feature form. The Hulu distribution of it for Aesir, which handles some older ADV Films properties, is of the dubbed version only. A DVD release came out in July 2012.
Plot concept: In a world where androids (“Boomers”) have infiltrated every aspect of society, it’s the job of the Branch to maintain peace between the people and the plastic. Unfortunately, not all Boomers are created perfect and when Boomers go bad, people die!
