Kotobukiya is light on details at the moment but after teasing us with a look over the weekend, we’ve got the full view of the upcoming new DC Comics Starfire Bishoujo Statue that they’ll be offering. The release has eight new images that you can check out below to see Starfire in this form. The character was originally introduced in DC Comics Presents #26 back in the fall of 1980 as created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez. Perez was looking to create a Red Sonja in space kind of approach and as he noted about her creation, he ended up going big with the hair and giving her the Might Mouse contrail that has been well used by illustrators on the years since.
The Tamaranean has been a staple of DC Comics for years and while she got her start in Teen Titans, she’s been involved in several other books such as Outsiders, Justice League, a stint in R.E.B.E.L.S. and most recently in Red hood and the Outlaws.
Starfire’s also been a regular outside of comics as she was a main character in the well received original Teen Titans animated series and appears in the new Teen Titans Go! series as well.
