Viz Media has laid out what their plans are for the month of August with new manga releases and they have a lot of ongoings coming out as well as a couple of new series. On the new front, Food Wars: Shokugeki is one to be on the lookout for as the series from Yuto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki looks to be an absolute blast. They’ve also got Black Rose Alice that was created by Setona Mizushiro which began back in 2008 in the Princess magazine which has six volumes to date and is still ongoing. It’s been previously picked up by French and German publishers and now is getting its North American debut in August 2014 with new volumes following every two months until it’s caught up. Mizushiro has had a number of pickups around the world and a few in the US such as After School Nightmare from Go! Comi and X-Day which was seen at TOKYOPOP.
Viz Media is also getting Spell of Desire, which is sometimes known as The Witch’s Potion and has the Japanese title of Majo no Biyaku, underway. This comes from Tomu Ohmi, who raised a few eyebrows last summer when Viz Media acquired Midnight Secretary.
In addition to that, there’s a lot of ongoings to check out as well as a few omnibus releases that will please fans.
