One of the older characters from the X-men side of the comics universe is getting his shot at an all new ongoing series as a part of the All-New Marvel NOW! campaign is Nightcrawler, whose series will simply be his name. The new title is set to debut in April with the team of Chris Claremont, Todd Nauck and Daniel Ketchum. This comes after the recent resurrection that the character went through and, unsurprisingly, the opening arc of the series will have Wolverine pairing up up with him to draw attention and get that character’s fans to check it out. The storyline will take place in a dramatically changed world, in which Professor X has died, Cyclops leads a band of revolutionaries, and Wolverine is the headmaster of the Jean Grey School.

The character first appeared in the 1975 issue of Giant Size X-Men #1, which was done by Len Wein and Dave Cockrum.
