After hitting theaters in Japan back in September, the first feature for Chuunibyou that recaps the first season of the series through a different perspective is now getting its home video release. The film is scheduled for a February 19th, 2014 release where the DVD is priced at 5670yen and the Blu-ray is priced at 6930yen. The releases are scheduled to come with a booklet and postcards as the pack-in/first press item while the on-disc extras are standard fare with some stage greeting material that preceded a premiere as well as previews and commercials. Additionally we’re seeing a clean opening sequence and an audio commentary track as well.

Plot concept: Yuuta Togashi suffered from chuunibyou while he was in middle school. When he graduated, he put that dark history behind him and forgot about it… or he was supposed to. High school was smooth sailing and full of enjoyment—until the unavoidable, sad event occurs. The event that locks Yuuta into a contract with Rikka Takanashi and disrupts his desperately ordinary life.

The feature is a summary of the first season of the show, as seen from Rikka’s perspective with new elements.
