Earlier in the week we go our first look at a new banner for The WindRises, aka Kaze Tachinu, the new feature film from Hayao Miyazaki. Due out on July 205th in Japan, Miyazaki returns to Studio Ghibli as the director and screenwriter for the feature based off of the work he wrote for the 2009 manga he created which ran for nine chapters. Check out the three new banners below and click on them to see larger versions.
Plot Concept: Kaze Tachinu focuses on Jirou Horikoshi, the designer of Japan’s famed Mitsubishi A6M Zero fighter plane of World War II. It also adapts Tatsuo Hori’s 1936–37 novelette of the same name, which follows the tentative relationship with a male narrator and Setsuko who suffers from encroaching tuberculosis.
