While we don’t have any trailers yet for the upcoming July 20th release of Kaze Tachinu, aka The Wind Rises, a new banner poster has been released for the newest Hayao Miyazaki film. Miyazaki returns as the director and screenwriter for the feature based off of the work he wrote for the 2009 manga he created which ran for nine chapters.
Plot Concept: Kaze Tachinu focuses on Jirou Horikoshi, the designer of Japan’s famed Mitsubishi A6M Zero fighter plane of World War II. It also adapts Tatsuo Hori’s 1936–37 novelette of the same name, which follows the tentative relationship with a male narrator and Setsuko who suffers from encroaching tuberculosis.
