With just a week until the first trailer for The Wolverine debuts on March 26th, a trio of new images have surfaced for the film that’s due out this summer with Hugh Jackman returning to the role that brought him international notice under the direction of James Mangold. The first two pictures deal with Logan looking for an old friend with which producer Hutch Parker elaborates, “Effectively Logan saved him and this man is on his deathbed and is looking to give him a gift, to thank him for the life he’s had. But this gift draws Logan into a very complex and very unexpected world.”
The third picture gives us a more traditional Japanese image in a way as we see Logan with some very bloody claws.
Plot concept: Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed. Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee co-star.
