Crunchyroll Adds ‘My Little Monster’ For Fall 2012 Anime Lineup

Just in time for the first episode to go live, Crunchyroll has announced the simulcast acquisition of My Little Monster. The series is set for Monday’s at 11am ET every week with free episodes of it available a week after simulcast. The show is based on the manga Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun by Robico, and is being animated by Brain’s Base (Durarara!!, Princess Jellyfish). The series features voice actress and singer Haruka Tomatsu as the main female character “Shizuku Mizutani,” with Tatsuhisa Suuki opposite her as “Haru Yoshida.”

The show has a decent range of available territories with the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, North America, Central America and South America.

Plot Concept: This is a love story revolving around the impassive girl Shizuku Mizutani, whose only interest is in studying, and the trouble-making boy, Haru Yoshida, who is absent from school after getting into a fight. Asked to deliver some handouts to Haru at his home, Shizuku suddenly finds herself the target of his affections. My Little Monster is a story about a boy and a girl who struggle with love and friendship, and discovering that opening yourself up to other people forces you to become honest with yourself.
