‘The Order’ Graphic Novel Gets Optioned

1 min read

The comics to film route continues to be a popular one since there are so many areas to mine in it and the latest has come from Bluegrass Films which has optioned the rights for The Order, a series that came from Arcana/Benderspink which is known for making titles that are easily adaptable. The book, which focuses on a group of priests that the Vatican puts together, travel the world dealing with the threat of vampires. Which is basically what John Carpenter’s Vampires was all about, so at least it’s something that they know can be done. The feature is getting writer Brian Nathanson to do the script while the whole feature, if it makes it past the option stage, will be overseen by Michael Clear and Nick Nesbitt for Bluegrass Films and Jake Weiner and Christopher Cosmos for Benderspink. Sean O’Reilly of Arcana will serve as an executive producer.
