Welcome to this week’s edition of Star Wars Thursday, a celebration of all things fun, wild, and wacky in the Star Wars universe!
It’s been an eventful month for the geeky among us, since Star Wars Day coincided with the US release of the Avengers, which was followed by Free Comic Book Day. Last week was dedicated to the frivolity of May the Fourth, so this week I’m dedicating my energy to unearthing and displaying Avengers and Star Wars mashups.
My twitter feed was greatly entertaining on Avengers’ opening day, with Chris Eliopoulus contributing some prime mashed up quotes.

Do you think Tony Stark would object to being combined with a puny (but amazing) little droid? Check out this image, which has him wielding lightsabers instead. We wouldn’t want to leave Thor out of the loop, since his flowing hair and muscled biceps make me swoon. Check out this video which plays off of the popular Darth Vader commercial from the Super Bowl.
