DC Comics Sets New TV Spot For Graphic Novels

1 min read

With the success of their advertising campaign done with many retailers last fall to promote the New 52 books and soft reboot of their properties, the launch of the graphic novels about them is well timed to do another round of new commercials. The deal with retailers is that they’ll cover 75% of the cost of the campaign when running, but it’s the retailers that have to get it up into the market themselves, be it theater screens or local TV broadcasting. Which is harder for some more than others, but still. DC Comics has provided materials for both a 30 second spot and a two minute feature that showcases things in a big fashion, but feels like it lacks what it really needs to drive it home with some dialogue or a personality to really push it properly.
