Aniplex has a few other plans with some previously released titles in the anime realm this year as at Sakuracon they announced that they would be releasing the Oreimo series again. The company put out a high priced fan oriented limited edition ste back in the fall of last year which has sold out on their level. The new set that will be out later this year, which details are not ready, will be a “regular edition” only and priced accordingly.
In addition to that, the company has announced that they’ll be releasing a DVD edition of Garden of Sinners. The show was the first one they did as a direct import release for US fans at a high priced limited edition Blu-ray set for about $400 (and worth every penny to just about all who bought it). Aniplex doesn’t have details yet on this but indicated that it is going to be a DVD only edition for now which figures in with how they’re looking to keep the prestige level there for many of their key titles like this one that has a certain marquee value, particularly in Japan, and they don’t want to undercut themselves in the overseas market.
I may have to pick these up for sure.� I hope they aren’t too expensive.
