Razzie Nominations Arrival, Adam Sandler Guaranteed Several Wins

3 min read

The list has come out for what will be up for the Razzie’s come April 1st, 2012, and it’s pretty much an Adam Sandler-fest as he’s managed to rack up an impressive twelve nominations. As the press release indicated, he’s up for more nominations than there are categories simply because he’s been nominated multiple times in some of them. There’s a lot of big budget bad movies out there that hit in 2011 and the Razzie’s serve to make note of them, have fun with them and just get snarky like you’d expect. Of course, it’s also interesting to see what some of these movies did for business as well, so check out the “Worst Picture” category where we added the budget and its theatrical box office for reference. Of course, box office take does not equal quality. And I’ll certainly admit to watching a bunch of these, though more on cable than anywhere else. You can’t change a channel without seeing Just Go With It showing up somewhere. People will rightly deride it, but look at it this way; they made it for $80 million and it brought in $215 million. People went to see it around the world.
