‘Hiro No Kakera’ Anime Series Promo Trailer Debuts

2 min read

We’ve still got a way to go until the spring 2012 anime season gets underway, but now that the winter season is at its halfway mark, more of the promotional videos are getting ready to hit. The latest comes from Studio DEEN where they’re doing the anime adaptation of the visual novel of Hiro no Kakera, which will be directed by Bob Shirohata of Hetalia fame. The game originally debuted back in 2006 on the PS2 and got a re-release in 2009 while also seeing a Nintendo DS and PSP release in 2008.

Plot concept: The protagonist is a teenage girl (Tamaki) who revisits a small village, she remembers from her childhood and gets caught up in her family’s history and supernatural dangers surrounding it. While walking along the hillsides waiting for the person who her grandmother sent to fetch Tamaki to the village, Tamaki comes across a small, white round object with sticks for limbs and talks. It runs off soon after, with Tamaki chasing after it. Soon Tamaki finds herself in a place where ‘it doesn’t feel like the world I came from’. She gets attacked by three slime creatures, and a male comes charging in to save her – by clamping his hands around her body and mouth and telling her to be quiet.
