Nico Nico Douga Sets ‘Black Rocker Shooter’ Worldwide Anime Simulcast

Nico Nico Douga has sent out the information about its plans to stream the Black Rock Shooter anime series after it airs in Japan on February 2nd with the February 3rd premiere. This is the first time that “Black Rock Shooter” will be streamed for fans outside Japan. Anyone who has an account with Nico Nico Douga can post their comments on its live video in various languages. While language will be set automatically based on the language of your browser, you can also select a language of your choice from the menu. Each episode will be exclusively streamed for a week.

“Black Rock Shooter” originates in a character illustration titled “Black Rock Shooter” created by the artist Huke, who posted it on his blog in 2007. The artist Ryo of Supercell who was inspired by the illustration created the
song based on the characters using the Vocaloid. Then the two artists collaborated to make the music video of the song, which was posted on Nico Nico Douga in 2008, and it got a great response. This eventually led to the world wide popularity.
