It’s been disturbingly quiet on the front of the Powers pilot filming going on in Chicago, though there are some very positive tweets coming out of Brian Michael Bendis in regards to what he’s seen. But as for stills, set reports and more? Almost nothing. In fact, the first shot finally surfaced today from the production with a look at Jason Patric in the role of Christian Walker, the police detective dealing with a world full of superheroes and villains done in a dark and street level way as opposed to the big name heroes themselves. According to the Chicago Sun Times, Chicago plays a big in the new series. “Chicago was chosen early on as a location where the shows’ supernatural aspects could be grounded,” the paper asserted.
If the pilot is a success and gets picked up by FX Network, it would get its order to series and debut sometime in 2012.
