While it may still shock some that Piranha 3D was even made, it shocks them even more that the movie did well enough to get a sequel, the very appropriately named Piranha 3DD. The first movie, which was pure grisly B-movie shlock that you couldn’t help but to love as you winced and cringed throughout it, brought in $83 million worldwide on a budget of just $24 million, so it was a no-brainer to bring back the creative people behind it along with a few pretty young stars such as Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, David Koechner, and Meagan Tandy. Now joining that cast is Gary Busey, who is being listed as “potential fish bait” when his role is being described. That alone makes it worthwhile for quite a few people.
The flick is due out, in 3D obviously, on November 23rd this year, just in time to go with your turkey dinner.
