‘Wonder Woman’ To Have Three Costumes

2 min read

It looks like the drama regarding the Wonder Woman costume isn’t going to come to an end, not that the second incarnation of it we saw really slowed things down overall. When images first surfaced of Adrianne Palicki in the shiny pants with the blue boots, the outcry was loud and fairly sustainable as it garnered negative reactions across the board, though some didn’t mind it like myself as it felt like it wasn’t trying to be real world, but keeping to the comic-y feeling. So when shots on location showed Palicki in a much different costume, relief was felt by many, though not without some nitpicks. As it turns out, that’s just the second of three costumes that will appear in the pilot according to a new item out of TV Online.

BC President Robert Greenblatt told TV Online that “There was an initial outcry about the long pants—you know, skintight pants as opposed to those little shorts worn by Lynda Carter in the original TV series, but the shorts were always planned. They are actually used in the final confrontation when she beats Veronica Cale.”

Sadly, no conceptual images or final in-action shots have been put out there yet of this third costume, but the reactions have fallen under the old adage for the producers of no bad news is truly bad, since it gets people talking about it. Greenblatt’s been around the block a few times and even though Wonder Woman is a known property, it doesn’t make it a safe bet. Bionic Woman, anyone? “I’ve been doing this long enough to know that nothing is a safe bet. Even with the best intentions and the best people, you just don’t know until you see it finished—and we’re a few weeks away from that. But it’s getting a lot of attention. A lot.”
