Media Blasters Inc. and Shriek Show’s Fresh Meat label proudly congratulate writer/director/actor Ty Jones and his new feature thriller, LAST BREATH for winning the Best Narrative Feature Award at the recent Ninth Annual Garden State Film Festival in Asbury Park, NJ. The film was selected for the festival’s highest honor from among the over 150 films screened in competition.
LAST BREATH concerns a couple, Michael and Tina, and their rapidly disintegrating marriage as witnessed by their only son. Suddenly thrust into the hands of vengeance, the couple is forced by their mysterious captor to confront their deepest secrets and darkest fears through painful and torturous interrogation. Their choices will ultimately determine whether they live or die.
Director Ty Jones sincerely felt that “it was an honor to have been selected to such an amazing film festival and I was humbled to have our film chosen as best feature. The most gratifying thing though was seeing the reaction of the viewers of our film. Again it’s so amazing how LAST BREATH impacts an unsuspecting viewer. To see some go from cringing to crying within minutes is a dream come true for a director.”
Among the thousands of attendees at this year’s Garden State Film Festival notable celebrities included Bruce Springsteen, Clarence Clemmons and Lainie Kazan.
LAST BREATH will exhale as a special edition DVD on April 12th.
