CBS Sets ‘Secret Six’ DC Comics Pilot

1 min read

Sometimes things come out of the blue and this one definitely qualifies. CBS, who didn’t have much luck with the Supergirl series as it agreed to shifting it to The CW after the first season, is dipping into the superhero side once again with Secret Six. The project has been given a pilot order as a drama series from Rick Muirragui along with Doozer Productions and Warner Bros. TV. Muirragui, who was an executive producer on Suits, is writing the pilot.

There are a few different incarnations of the team over the years but the more recent one with Gail Simone writing it has generated the most attention by working with some lesser known characters alongside some interesting villains such as Bane and Deadshot to deal with a villain-lead series.

Plot Concept: The series centers on six morally ambiguous strangers, each with their own unique specialties and secret pasts, who are brought together by an enigmatic figure who blackmails them into working as a team to expose the corruption of the corporate and political elite.
