Seeing the guys work on house building the last time around was fun and could be a whole season easily with all of its jobs. Here, we get the pair sent to do some part time work with a locksmith at his shop. Aizaki is a fun one that’s very up close and personal with everyone and that puts Kuehiko on edge. Aizaki’s fairly straightforward about the job and what’s involved as he goes through the routine with some serious bursts in the middle due to his nature. It’s like he’s 90% Tapio in a way and then gets suddenly intense and his voice drops significantly. Kuehiko and Tapio work the jobs well here but there’s little to the work itself overall, but it has a lockpicking moment toward the end that’s fairly cute.

In Summary:
This episode is less about the job and more about Aizaki this time around but it’s used in a way to try and get closer to figuring out who Kuehiko is. Tapio’s very much in the background but it works well as something that wants to dig into Kuehiko’s character moment. The show doesn’t dig deep in general and this is no exception but it’s a nicely done little side piece really.
