DC Universe Sets Launch Date; ‘Titans’ Premiere Scheduled

2 min read

It’s taken a bit since it was first revealed previously and then rolled out this summer amid the convention season, but the DC Universe streaming service is now set to launch on September 15th, 2018 as part of Batman Day. While we’re still slim on some details as to exactly what will be available at launch, the announcement came with the news that the first original series Titans will launch on October 12th, 2018.

The announced cast includes Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Teagan Croft as Raven, Anna Diop as Starfire, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Minka Kelly Dove, and Ryan Potter as Beast Boy.

The series will be done by Greg Berlanti, Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Sarah Schechter and Warner Bros TV, which means there’s a very good chance it’ll connect with The CW shows to some degree as Berlanti’s projects have worked to keep that a part of things.

Plot Concept: Titans follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire, Raven and others.
