The anime adaptation of the children’s series Oshiri Tantei, aka Buttocks Detective was revealed almost a year ago and it’s now set for a May 3rd, 2018 debut – one that we hope gets some simulcast love. As we get closer to that the folks at Toei Animation look to be doing some new promotion for it with a new 30-second spot now arriving that gives us a greater taste of Buttocks Detective.
The books come from writer/illustrator Troll that gives us a lead character that’s basically a talking butt that’s a detective. Seriously, how can that not win you over?
Toei Animation is handling the animation for it and it will be directed by Megumi Ishitani and the Japanese cast includes Yūko Sanpei, Ayaka Saitō, Takahiro Sakurai, and Ikkei Watanabe.
