1 min read

The 22nd film in the series is lined up for an April 13th, 2018 debut with Detective Conan: Zero’s Executioner coming out. We’d gotten a teaser trailer for it previously but now we have a new TV teaser spot for it and the full-length trailer that gives us a taste of the opening theme song. The project is a sequel to the 20th film, The Darkest Nightmare.

The film is directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa once again and is based on the story from original creator Gosho Aoyama and adapted and expanded upon by Takeharu Sakurai. TMS and V1 Studio are returning for the animation production as well.

The Japanese cast includes Minami Takayama as Conan Edogawa, Wakana Yamazaki as Ran Mōri, Rikiya Koyama as Kogorō Mōri, Ryo Horikawa as Heiji Hattori, and Yuko Miyamura as Kazuha Toyama.

Plot concept: A sudden explosion incident at Edge of Ocean, a facility for Tokyo Summit. After Kogoro Mori is arrested as a suspect for the case, Conan starts an investigation to prove his innocence, but Toru Amuro, who should stand in the side of justice, comes up against Conan.
