The latest rankings have come in from Japan with what’s selling on the anime side of the business with the latest DVD and Blu-ray numbers. The latest Love Live! Sunshine!! naturally took the top spot with just under 31,000 units moved right out of the gate and it’s a close one with the No Game No Life: Zero film where it did 23,000 with a limited edition and almost 5,000 in regular form and almost 3,000 on DVD as well. The latest Yamato also did well but it’s the new series that are worth checking out. Idolish 7 had a strong debut with almost 13,000 on Blu-ray but a strong 14,000 on DVD. The film side is strong as well this week as the Code Geass and Girls und Panzer films hit along with the Twilight Axis compilation. Suffice to say, there’s a whole lot of sales this week.
